The Community Outreach Committee plays a HUGE role in POPs Ocean Friendly Establishment initiative along with our Stow it Dont Throw it campaign. We are the liaison to Big POP and help with signing on new establishments and managing the present ones.

The Art Committee makes sure to spread the word through art. Whether it be spray painting the rocks on campus to advertise POP events, chalk around UNCW, run the UNCW POP Art Gala, or reach our to local artists and members about creating art from plastic.

The Research Committee partakes in research whether it be partnership with other organizations, research on marine debris or innovative solutions to our plastic problem. Our principles are Exposure, Experience and Education.

The Education Committee organizes events with the teachers of local schools to go and teach students about POP and what we do as an organization along with teaching them about plastics and pollution on our world and in our community.

The Fundraising and Marketing Committee strengthens the organization financially through creative and innovative fundraising techniques throughout the campus and in the community. We maintain continuous funds for the student organization along with maintaining strong relations with all our sponsors and sustainable partnerships.
